Shanghai Jiu Mao Foreign Trade Co., Ltd., which
grew out of Shanghai Jiu Mao Foreign Trade Corporation, is a comprehensive
foreign trade company specially engaged in import & export
business. Wholly invested by Shanghai Jiu Shi Company under the
Planning Commission of Shanghai Municipal Government, it was approved
to establish in May 1993 by Shanghai Foreign Economic Relations
& Trade Commission. In January 2001, Shanghai Jiu Mao Foreign
Trade Corporation carried out re-organization. Orient International
Holding Shanghai Foreign Trade Co., Ltd., Shanghai Jiu Shi Company
Pudong Branch and Shanghai Hai Cheng Material United company,
jointly injected investments and purchased shares to set up Shanghai
Jiu Mao Foreign Trade Co., Ltd., with Orient International Holding
Shanghai Foreign Trade Co., Ltd., as the holding company. In 2001,
the total volume of import and export trade of SJMFTC has reached
two hundred and seventy million US Dollars.
With a wide range of business scope, SJMFTC self-operates and
acts as agent for import & export commodities covering mechanical
equipment, instrument & apparatus, nonferrous metal, chemical
material, construction material, light textile products, foodstuff
& local products, etc. It undertakes processing with imported
materials or samples, assembling with supplied parts, and compensation
trade. Meanwhile, it develops services in forms of joint venture
or cooperative production, involves in economic & trade consultation,
and whole & retail sale for domestic commodities as well.
It also undertakes importation of complete set of equipment and
relevant materials for large-scale engineering projects.
